Past Simple Regular Verbs
In order to make past simple regular verbs you need to add the -ed ending to verbs.
It is very easy but you must remember about a few rules. See some examples below:
1. + ed
cook – cooked
push – pushed
kiss – kissed
2. -e + only -d
dance – danced
notice – noticed
decide – decided
3. -y → i+ ed
study – studied
marry – married
cry – cried
BUT!!!
play – played
stay – stayed
4. x2 + -ed ( 3 last letters: consonant, vowel, consonant)
travel – travelled
stop – stopped
pop – popped
BUT!!!
happen – happened
listen – listened
visit – visited
fix – fixed
